Culling and Review / List View

Culling and Review

List View

List View shows the active source as a table, with one row per photo or video item. A RAW+JPEG pair can share one row. This mode is available on Mac only.

Switch Views

Click List View in the toolbar or choose View > List View. Use Grid View to switch back.

Press Space to open Full View, then Space or Esc to return. Double-clicking a preview or read-only text cell also opens Full View; editable cells open their editor instead.

Customize Columns

Click the Table Options gear or right-click a column header to show or hide columns under File, Status, EXIF, and IPTC, plus Preview.

  • Drag headers to reorder columns and their dividers to resize them. The layout is remembered on this Mac.
  • Filename stays visible. Alternating Row Colors changes the row backgrounds.
  • Hover over a thumbnail for a larger preview. The grid-size slider and Loupe are disabled in List View.

Sort and Select

Click a sortable header to sort; click again to reverse direction. Preview, Locked, and additional IPTC columns are not sortable, but Title and Creator are.

Search and filters work as in Grid View. Group By is disabled, stack members appear as separate rows, and entering List View turns off Custom Order.

  • Use Cmd + Click to add/remove rows and Shift + Click for a range.
  • Navigate with ↑/↓; Cmd + A selects all displayed rows.
  • Culling shortcuts work when the table, rather than a text editor, has focus.

Edit Fields

A pencil beside a header marks an editable column. Availability depends on the source and your access level. Wait for metadata to load before editing IPTC.

Warning

Rating, label, flag, favorite, and lock controls can affect the whole selection. Filename, date, and IPTC edits affect only the edited row. Select one row first for single-photo changes. Immediate Bin Presets can also start transfers after culling changes.
